Jackelyn Kastanis didn’t start out thinking she would create a nonprofit organization to support women and children who are battling serious diseases. The Michigan native spent most of her life known as the little tapper, dancing, acting and working in film, until a devastating situation changed her life and plans. What started off as a desperate scheme to help her childhood best friend see her normal, pretty self when she looked in the mirror is now a movement being shared with thousands of woman facing similar challenges. Simply From The Heart, the organization that provides patients with complimentary bedside beauty services to raise self-esteem and encourage well-being, is being recognized as the official beauty concierge for patients nationwide.
