IT’S TIME FOR WOMEN
to own our voices

Join us for our Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour, which takes place right on our own stomping grounds!

WHAT IS
a Truthteller Tour?

A Truthteller Tour is an empowering event of celebrating and giving voice to our experiences: stories of triumph, devastating loss, and everything in between. Through sharing, we discover common ground, hope, meaning, and inspiration.

Each tour is a special evening of connecting with like-hearted women, rewriting our stories of victimhood, tapping into our freedom, and discovering and elevating our voices in sisterhood and solidarity. Three to five women selected by the Wf1 team will share their stories and spark dialogue and opportunities for connection that could last a lifetime.

The PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Truthteller Tour

Join us at the Kirkland Performance Center on April 28! Proceeds from Wf1’s Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour will be donated to Washington Women in Need—an organization that supports and uplifts diverse communities, right here in the Pacific Northwest.

We’re also thrilled to announce a special guest speaker at the Truthteller Tour: award-winning writer, speaker, actress, and author of the critically acclaimed memoir I Am Yours, Reema Zaman. I Am Yours is the story of her unwavering fight to protect and free her voice from those that sought to silence her. Beginning in Bangladesh, moving into Thailand, then New York, and finally, Oregon, I Am Yours is an iconic, definitive book on the female—and the human—condition. Reema and her memoir have been featured in the New York Times, Ms. magazine, Vogue, the Guardian, Salon, and Guernica, among others.

The Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour follows on the heels of Wf1’s inaugural Your Messy Brilliance® Retreat, which is another awesome opportunity to dive into the beauty of sisterhood, collaboration, and owning your voice. Empower yourself in 2019 and join us for both the tour and the retreat!

Truthteller Tour love

“It was the opportunity of a lifetime to share my story live. People still come up to me on the street to say my words made a difference to them. Kelly McNelis held a safe, beautiful space and hosted a kickass evening with inspirational women. I firmly believe that storytelling is the way forwards to create a powerful new story for women everywhere.”

Susie Rinehart, Founder of braveoverperfect.com

“I was honored to be a panelist in Kelly’s inaugural Truthteller Tour in my hometown of Boulder, CO. The entire evening was professional, intimate, edgy, and real—thanks to the authenticity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, especially Kelly. I know that these gatherings will continue to heal and inspire so many!”

Sara Avant Stover, Bestselling Author and Founder of The Way of the Happy Woman

“The Truthteller Tour is one of those surprise events that you attend for one reason and you leave realizing that you needed it for so many other reasons! I was lucky to be one of the inaugural Truthteller speakers, and I took it to heart. I shared my truth about my long history with alcohol and the grip it held on me for decades. It was difficult and emotional to go public with something so private. But I can tell you this: Once you release a truth that has held you back for a long time, the result is nothing short of liberating.”

Nicole DeBoom, Founder and CEO of Skirt Sports, Inc.

“It’s so rare in our society that we are encouraged to show up and share our stories in all our authentic glory. Kelly has made this possible via the Truthteller Tour, cultivating safe events to inspire and be inspired. Speaking our truth can be so difficult, and I celebrate those who make it easier for people.”

Erin Weed, Founder of Evoso

“This was such an amazing event, Kelly. I am so humbled to have been a part of it. Thank you for what you’re creating and sharing in the world. You are literally changing it.”

Grace Presley, Founder of You Are a Story Worth Loving

“Being a Truthteller on stage was an incredible experience for me. I expected to feel emotional while I was reading my story, but what I wasn’t expecting was the incredible connectedness I felt with every woman in that room. It was more than support; it was like we were all sharing the same story together. The entire experience was not just cathartic; it was transformative and almost mystical. I highly recommend this for all women! Tell your stories—it will change not just you but the world around you, too.”

Clare O’Nan, L.Ac., O.M.D.

“Finally speaking my truth was an amazing experience. I’ve never shared the story of my abusive boyfriend in public. I didn’t realize how emotional it would be to actually stand up and tell the story. To be in such a supportive setting and to be able to use my situation to inspire others was truly life-changing. I finally realize that what happened to me empowered me to be stronger and can empower other women to be stronger and happier in their relationships.”

Holly Hurd, Founder of VentureMom

“My experience during the Truthteller Tour was simply amazing. Just to feel a part of a movement that pulls women together to feast off life experiences, allowing you to see that you’re not alone, gave me a boost. I’ve never been the type to share my experiences publicly, but releasing my story took a load off. I’m forever grateful to Kelly!”

Shalandra Johnson, Truthteller

“The most valuable aspect of being a speaker was the confidence it gave me to tell more of my stories. After my experience of being a speaker for the Truthteller Tours, I have learned to be more clear with myself up front—what my intentions are in how I present my story. I did it instinctively this time, but next time, I will do it more consciously.”

Beth Halleck, Author and Speaker

“The Truthteller Tour exceeded my expectations! The powerful feminine energy in that space was exceptional. I hadn’t felt that in years!”

Pat Steele, Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour Attendee

“I didn’t know what to expect of the night. A friend recommended I attend with her, and I’m so glad I did. It took the entire time of the first story to realize what I had signed up for. By the end, I was just stunned with the beauty of everyone’s honesty and their stories.”

Katrina Cameron, Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour Attendee

Kelly’s team did an outstanding job with the Truthteller Tour at Mississippi State—from the curriculum used for the workshop, to the coaching of participants, to the vulnerability expressed throughout the event. It was great to work with such a vibrant group of people with the heart to see women grow into their own truth. This was certainly one of the most gratifying events I have ever partnered with, and I would do it all over again!

Ra’Sheda Forbes, Assistant Vice President for Multicultural Affairs, Mississippi State University

wf1 + Truthteller Tour

Women For One is a global community that supports women in sharing their stories, claiming their voices, and making life happen on their own terms. Aside from offering a digital platform for women to share their written stories, we’ve created a number of resources that foster women’s leadership and self-expression. These include interactive courses created especially for our tribe, signature events such as our community-centered Truthteller Tour, in-person workshops and corporate training across the country, ebooks, and inspiring daily newsletters.

Women For One also hosts a popular podcast, Your Messy Brilliance® Show, in which founder Kelly McNelis shares the insights of bold changemakers—from the late Dr. Maya Angelou to Glennon Doyle—who aren’t afraid to make a little mess. We reach more than 630,000 women from over 60 countries across the world who follow Women For One on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+, in addition to the 35,000 unique visitors per month that our website currently receives.
