A Conversation with Marianne Williamson: Spiritual Leader and Congressional Candidate
I had the opportunity and great honor to sit down with the amazing Marianne Williamson and candidly talk about her congressional campaign, transformational politics and cultivating compassion. I also spoke with Marianne about the courageous women throughout the world who are becoming informed and taking action for their communities. Women, she states – especially American women – are very powerful and by realizing that, we have the ability to transform politics to reach our goals for a more peaceful world. Marianne states, “You and I as American women are speaking for ten, and we’re speaking for 100 women around the world that do not have the option of speaking about their beliefs.” You can find out more about Marianne Williamson’s Congressional Campaign here.
Ms. Williamson has published ten books, including four New York Times #1 bestsellers. She is the founder of Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area, and the co-founder of The Peace Alliance, a grass roots campaign supporting legislation to establish the United States Department of Peace. She serves on the Board of Directors of the RESULTS organization, which works to end poverty in the United States and around the world. Williamson is also the force behind Sister Giant, a series of seminars and teaching sessions that provides women with the information and tools needed to be political candidates. Through these seminars, she encourages women to run for office and align their politics with their spiritual values.
