Milton’s Secret: The Movie
Women For One Truthteller and filmmaker/author Barnet Bain is the director and writer of this powerful movie adaptation from the book by spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle and author Richard S. Friedman. Bain is also the Oscar-winning producer of What Dreams May Come, as well as an Emmy Award nominee. His creativity workshops guide people of all ages and walks of life to expand their visions of what is possible, and to develop their own capacity for joy.
Twelve-year-old Milton Adams finds his entire world in crisis as his parents stress out about their careers, finances, and the sinking sensation that their middle-class lives aren’t “enough.” Additionally, he’s under attack by the neighborhood bully, and his anxiety is getting worse by the day. But when he finds a kindred spirit in his optimistic grandfather (played by Donald Sutherland), Milton’s pain and uncertainty gradually give way to a deeper understanding of true happiness, which cannot be compromised by life’s changing circumstances. As Milton learns to live in the now, he impacts everyone around him.
