Walk with Me…Even for a Moment…Into…

Walk with me…even for a moment…into…

Things that I have experienced in nature….

Breathe the soft, cold breeze from a glacier, feel the ice crystals form as the air settles deep into your lungs…

A full moon, high in the mountains, you listen to the sounds of the wolves and coyotes as their howls echo into the night air, you become the wild one and dance into the night beside a roaring fire, touching something deep inside fleetingly, a feeling that will linger to eternity…

Standing upright in front of you, two grizzly bears smell the air of steel and glass, this man-made artificialness is the womb that protects you, you reach out, touch their soul, they ponder, walk away, and wonder….

The mama bear with her cub, she talks to your dog with soundless communication of a warning that man has yet to grasp…

Deer trying to camouflage themselves behind the crab-apple trees that you make jelly out of, you sense their dignity with a feeling of respect…

In awe and utter amazement, you watch the process of the mountain goats taking their young down to the stream for a drink where you have drunk your fill and quenched your thirst of the very same water….

Chasing the deer to his pack, the wolf who is the runner stops to look deep into your eyes, touching and then searching all the while you are doing the same, we run together and understand….

Animals come here to bathe and heal their wounds, bubbles form as the springs rise to the surface, sulfur from the natural springs hangs heavy in the air, you can taste the healing powers as it permeates the nose, running your finger tips gently through the misty, steamy waters, with quiet reflection you think, is it we who has something to learn….

The hawk swoops down to the riverbed, its talons grasp its prey, and it glides effortlessly into the sky, this lesson of survival you hold close to your heart…

A baby moose wobbles its first steps after being birthed from its mom, you are fortunate to experience this pleasure of life…

Have you ever been somewhere so quiet that you not only feel your heart beat, but you hear the beats echo, breaking the silence and giving you the pleasure of knowing that you’re alive…

Have you ever licked and tasted your lips from the salt air from the ocean and smelled the freshness of the sea…

As you look off into the distance, can you see your future with the many opportunities that only you hold the key for…

Walk with me…even for a moment…into…

OMG!!!! Kimmy!!! This piece of writing is absolutely stunning, poetic, poignant and truly beautiful, well written and inspiring. You are a very talented artist and writer and I would love to read everything you have written. It reminds me of our time exploring the Don Valley at the bottom of Pottery road in Toronto when we were so young…..when I too loved nature…but have somehow lost sight of it with the hustle and bustle of day to day in Toronto. Love you forever my friend:)
