Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman

In honor of our truthteller Jael Uribe, founder of Women Poets International, we are posting one of her favorite poems (and one of our favorites – hence the title). Maya Angelou’s Phenomenal Woman is powerful, musical and is a gift to all of our community. Thank you Maya for your spirit, creativity and love for the world.

Dr. Maya Angelou is one of the most incredibly inspiring and powerful women in history. She is a celebrated author and poet; her voice is a melody to everyone’s ears, powerful and lifting all in one breath. Dr. Angelou was a primary inspiration for the creation of Women For One.
