Transforming Beyond Our Potential: A Conversation with Vishen Lakhiani
It was so great to speak with entrepreneur, bestselling author, and speaker Vishen Lakhiani. As the founder of Mindvalley, a learning experience company that publishes ideas and teachings by the most respected authors in personal growth and mindfulness, Vishen and his team serve three million students, subscribers, and followers worldwide.
Mindvalley is all about “education for people who refuse to fit into the ordinary world.” I so resonate with that idea, which is why I devoured his recent book, The Code of an Extraordinary Mind, which is a New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller. My copy is filled with notes to myself, as the book is a fascinating walk through concepts of evolutionary biology and computational thinking. It’s all about gaining an awareness of your current beliefs so that you can redefine them. As the title promises, this is a book that is a roadmap to becoming extraordinary.
Vishen’s way of thinking is as cutting edge as his book. And I absolutely enjoyed letting my curiosity lead our conversation as he talked about a number of scientific and metaphysical models for how we can move into exciting new territory as a species.
“A funny thing happens when you start following that thing your soul put you here to do,” Vishen shared with me. He also talked about his dream of bringing mindfulness, meditation, and new models of thinking into the mainstream. His goal is to spread what he calls “enlightened ideas” to a billion members globally so that we can move into a more connected humanity.
I hope you’ll be as inspired by our conversation as I was!
