WIL Uganda: Poem of a Woman
One day there was a woman in Busembatia.
The woman was not educated enough.
Her mother died and her family sent her a message.
But the woman could not read or write.
She kept the letter for her husband
To read to her when he returned home.
The husband came back home, and the woman said, “There is a message for you.”
When the husband read that message,
He found the announcement that his mother-in-law, her mother, had died.
The woman cried because she was not educated.
So let us all be educated in order to have a good future,
For everyone in the world.
