Can Vanity Be Our Friend?

Only by looking at what is can we change it for the best. One thing to look at:

Who is afraid of criticism?

Who rather befriend those who flatter us or pretend to see only what we want them to see?

Our vanity, is it not?

To be a friend has nothing to do with pleasing the vanity in oneself or another. Unfortunately most people in this world thinks it is.
