Dear Women

I am a poet. I started pursuing poetry in 2015 but I always wished to be an author, ever since I was 16 years old. Now, I am working on self-publishing my debut poetry book. This is a recent poem I wrote. 

Dear women,

You are all

beautiful 

powerful 

and intelligent.

I am telling you this— 

why?

‘Cause you deserve 

more of my words 

delivered to you each 

and every morning with red roses 

waiting outside on your doormat 

anxiously waiting for your 

scented palms of red plum and 

freesia

to pick them up.
